//| Hong Kong | Part 1

I set off from Melbourne on the 21st  of January for a nine hour plane trip to Hong Kong, the weather was so different  to Melbourne because we’re currently in summer and summer in Melbourne is pretty hot, around 30-40 degrees celsius and as we were travelling to the other hemisphere, it was winter.
The plane ride seemed long even though there were plenty of movies and music to watch, but i actually like plane rides believe it or not.

I’m currently staying with my aunty in her apartment in Quarry Bay. On the first day, the views didn’t disappoint. We left the house relatively early at about 9am and set off to local places around the apartment as my aunty took the afternoon off to accompany us sightseeing and a place to eat. We had lunch at a wedding reception themed yum cha place, it was really delicious but then again i do quite like yum cha. The view from the window was amazing from such a high level up but now that i think about it, most of the restaurants that we went to were a little higher up in the building so we diner with a lovely view. It still felt so weird eating out every day because i was so used to eating home cooked meals every night and every day.

The scenery here is so different to Melbourne, the trams are double decker and much skinnier, kind of reminds me of the ones in Harry Potter when the bus squeezes between the two buildings or was it buses?
We also went to Forever 21! My sister and i used to shop from there online because there isn’t one in Australia but then the shipping costs went through the roof!

The next day we went to a place where it was a absolutely beautiful and where all the expensive shops are. Hehe. Tiffany and co. , Hermes, Louis Vuitton, the list goes on. We also walked along the riverbank as Hong Kong is made up of a lot of little islands, the views were amazing. We went to Garden st i think where there were a lot of little shops so it was lie a market, and we walked around there until the sun set and day became night.

Well, that’s all for now. Enjoy your day wherever you are.
xx

p.s I'm currently in England so that post is coming up after my Hong Kong | Part 2 so stay in tune for that.

Tonight we'll dance
I'll be yours and you'll be mine
We won't look back,
Take my hand and we will shine
